Mixing Skin Care Products

"Can I use just one L'Bri product at a time while I finish up my old stuff? I don't want to waste what I already have at home." We are living in tough times financially, so I do understand the question.

But I'd like to explain why this is not a good idea.

In the past 20 years, as I've worked with other skin care lines, I have addressed this same question many times. My answer has always been the same: "No, you really should use all products from the same line together as each company makes products that are developed to work in harmony."

Since using and learning more about L'Bri I am especially convinced about this concept.

L'Bri's first ingredient is Aloe Barbadensis. The unique thing here is that Aloe travels below the skin layers and takes with it other nutrients in the L'Bri Pure n' Natural products. L'Bri is using things that are natural and good for your skin. (See my blog on L'Bri ingredients) Let's say you choose Brand X's cleanser, followed by L'Bri's freshener, followed by Brand Y's moisturizer. You will potentially drive the man-made harmful chemicals from the other two companies down into the deeper skin layers because the Aloe acts as a carrier for all the other things you are using. Most other companies are using chemicals which were meant to sit on top of your skin making your skin appear different. There are many toxic chemicals out there that don't allow your skin to detoxify. When we can't detoxify we can end up with skin problems and (I believe) other medical symptoms and issues. L'Bri's Aloe actually drives down under the skin layers taking with it the water and natural ingredients in the L'Bri products for healthier skin. Detoxification is not restricted but rather is enhanced.

When consumers start mixing products from various skin care lines, they develop "confused skin". The mixture of products was never formulated to work together. What might have started out as a beneficial ingredient produces disastrous results. Skin rashes are a great example of this misuse as are unusually dry skin and unusually oily skin with or without blemishes. You might say that your skin becomes a chemical warfare victim. When a product line is developed, the chemist produces things that are meant to compliment each other. When they fight each other it really does become a war zone.

Our skin protects us from bacteria with an acidic pH (pH refers to the amount of acid or alkali content). Oily skin is slightly less acidic and dry skin is a little bit more acidic, but the general pH is between 4.5 and 5.5. The L'Bri freshener was designed to help restore the natural pH of your skin. It is used after the cleanser and before the moisturizer. The pH balance in skin care products is specific to each skin care's product line. In our example above where we used a cleanser and moisturizer from other product lines along with the L'Bri freshener, we never got the pH back into range because the pH couldn't balance out --- no harmony = no balance. This imbalance just sets you up for allergies, rashes, blemishes and any number of skin issues. When you don't know why this is happening, you are more likely to reach for the next "miracle" product and rather than helping you've just confused your skin even more.

If you find yourself already in this situation of confused skin, don't fret! Help can be on the way in the form of L'Bri Pure n' Natural skin care products! I am actually very excited for you as you have the potential to have some pretty impressive results. L'Bri uses Aloe Barbadensis -- "the healing plant" or "nature's pharmacy" as it is sometimes known. When you look at the list of the wonderful ingredients in the L'Bri product line, you'll understand that you have a great chance of undoing the damage that you have previously created. Remember, the Aloe will help drive all the healing ingredients down underneath you skin layers. It won't create an environment of increased toxicity, but will rather help allow your skin to detoxify. With regular use you can have the healthy, beautiful skin that you deserve and want.
